Olivier Charland is a Multi-disciplinary artist with a background in Graphic Design based in Montreal. He holds a BFA from UQÀM in Visual Arts & Graphic Design.

My artistic practice focuses on expressing fragments of emotions that interact chaotically. I aim to find a harmonious balance among these elements. Additionally, my work questions the externalization of these emotions and what we choose to project outward. By manually repainting digital effects, I explore the notion of our external self and what we curate to show the world through these carefully calculated emotional vulnerabilities.

Olivier Charland est un artiste multidisciplinaire avec une formation en design graphique basé à Montréal. Il détient un Baccalauréat en Arts Visuels et Design Graphique de l'UQÀM.

Ma pratique artistique consiste à exprimer des fragments d'émotions qui interagissent de manière chaotique. Mon objectif est de trouver un équilibre harmonieux entre ces éléments. Par ailleurs, mon travail interroge l'extériorisation de ces émotions et ce que nous choisissons de projeter vers l'extérieur. En repeignant manuellement des effets numériques, je questionne la notion de notre moi extérieur et ce que nous choisissons de montrer au monde à travers ces vulnérabilités émotionnelles soigneusement calculées.
